July 19th, 20th and 21st

We ran an evening charter on Tuesday and Wednesday and a morning charter this morning.  Over these three trips we put 44 fish in the boat.  Three steelhead, three Atlantic Salmon and 38 lakers.  Wednesday two of the lakers were 31 and a half inches long. These fish just missed the 32 inch mark that would have allowed the clients to keep them as a trophy.  Fishing this good makes our time on the water enjoyable and makes us look forward to the next trip.

July 1st and 3rd

The fishing continues to be amazing.  We boated 30 fish during the last two trips.  4 Kings, 6 Atlantics, 2 steelhead, and 18 lake trout.  The May Flys are hatching which makes the planner board fishing amazing.  1 - 7 color leadcore with anything orange or green behind them are working great.  We have a few openings in the next few weeks.  We would love to have you join us.

This Spring has been tough.

This season has started by canceling our first three charters.  The St. Marys river is full of mud and has made fishing very difficult.  Lake Huron continues to be very cold which makes the fish lethargic.  It looks like a late week warm up is going to happen and the forecast for this week is free of rain.  Maybe by Saturday things will look up.

Out of the garage and ready to fish.

Dad and I put the finishing touches on the boat this morning.  It is now in Cedarville and ready to hit the water.  We hope to spend some time tomorow sorting through tackle and getting reels on the poles.  Our first charter is May 9th.  Hopefully we will have some first trip photos in a little over a weeks time.

The Boat is out of Storage.

Last week we were able to take the boat out of storage.  This year is quite different then last.  Last year we had open water and no snow.  This year we still have snow and are still doing a bit of ice fishing.  We are hoping that things break up quickly and that we can be on the water by the first of May.
